With a simple desktop connection, you can retrieve a PROTECT TRANSFER form to whom you want to send your information, their name, email address, phone number, and a brief description as to the documents that are being sent.

PROTECT TRANSFER is monitoring the directory, which could be on a local workstation, or server 24 X 7. Once the service sees a file in the monitored directory, it will read the information that you have provided in the sender form, encrypt the file, transfer the file to our secured server.

Once the file is received by our server, PROTECT TRANSFER will notify the recipient, via email, that a file is ready for download. The sender will also be notified, via email, that the file has been transferred to our server, and the recipient has been notified.

Secure File Transfer

Within the recipient email is imbedded a link that they need to click to start the file transfer. So how do we avoid someone hacking the recipient’s email? We can’t, but the file that is to be transferred can only go to a directory that has already been selected by the recipient! This also allows the recipient to select a directory that inbound files enter into a workflow for review or processing. Once the file has been transferred successfully an email is dispatched to the sender that the file has been received, a time/date stamp, as to when this was completed.

What if my recipient never downloads the file?

PROTECT TRANSFER will notify the recipient four days after the file is received on the PROTECT TRANSFER server as a reminder. All files are retained on the server for 7 days, after that period they are deleted. Before the file is deleted another email, notification is sent 24 hours to both the recipient and the sender. If the file is deleted an email notification is sent to the sender that the file has been deleted.
